Life can be explained as a road of many tiny transitions, some appearing grander than others but tiny in comparison to the massive quality of life. The transitions can be small steps towards a bigger lesson and usually not noticed until a major event occurs. There have been a lot of amazing, incredible changes in people’s lives. I have witnessed family members quit their long smoking habits. I have noticed friends becoming more independent in their journey. I have seen and experienced unexpected relationships and unexpected fallouts. I saw the first Black U.S. president being sworn in and saw a mega superstar die in a mysterious way. I can go on and on but I think you get the point. Changes have been happening more rapidly than usual and it appears that these changes are much more noticeable than ever before.

In my idealistic mind, I’d like to think this is a beautiful time for us to find out what’s important in life, our connection to ourselves and one another, and our collective and individual truth. These major discoveries vary to person to person. What one might deem as a minute change may be the biggest “ah-ha” moment in another’s life. In either case, we are all moving towards a positive direction, even if the circumstances appear to be negative. Sometimes, we have to reach a breaking point before seeing the light of life.

Although it may feel like the last year or two have been filled with life altering changes that came out of nowhere, they have been building all along whether we noticed or not. The tiny transitions equals to major changes, which in turn creates a massive life, which then propels the mind to appreciate an enormous consciousness that I personally believe is spiritual. This long winded equation can appear linearly or all at the same time, depending on the person and their awareness to this consciousness. I don’t wish to dwell on this concept from a personal standpoint but I will say that I have noticed the steps that have driven me to this point. I have also been intrigued by the equation’s sudden outburst recently with everything seeming to hit me at once.

This energy shift that I have been feeling is not a fluke. I’ve not only witnessed it in my personal life but in the lives of those closest to me and mere strangers. It may be this 2012 higher consciousness theory or the Age of Aquarius thing or it could be something else all together. I am not that sure but I intend to enjoy this long rollercoaster ride while it lasts because life is just that—a rollercoaster ride with many tiny transitions forming something much greater than our own comprehension.
